Canal Locks on Ohio River near Louisville Kentucky antique postcard

This antique postcard depicts the McAlpine Canal Locks at the Falls of the Ohio River near Louisville, Kentucky. The locks were the first major engineering project on the Ohio River, completed in 1830. The postcard is standard size—approximately 3.5” by 5.5”—and was circulated in 1908.
