The latest sewing pattern from So Sew Easy is a free t-shirt pattern for the Twist Front Top. It’s a sexy halter top that can also be a dress if you’d like to extend it. Designed for knit fabrics, this top crosses over at the front and the little keyhole at the front gives an interesting look.

This pillow is made with two or more fabrics, and is a great way to use those small scraps of fabric that you can’t bear to part with! The twist is the knife-pleated middle section on the front. I love how the pleating adds a lot of detail and dimension to the pillow.

Sew a princess seam top with gathering down one side, makes it flattering and interesting too. I can’t stop making them. The soft gathers and draping on the regular fit are so pretty for work under a jacket. And I love to go down a size and make a tighter fit for workout wear too!

There is a ton of information on the web about t-shirt quilts. Some is fairly accurate, some is not. I’ve been making t-shirt quilts for about 2 years now. I started out not knowing a thing about it really, but ended up making a fairly nice quilt with just a few issues.

As a mom to a little girl I can vouch for the comfort and practicality of these dresses. To add something special to the dress, I made the neck binding with notches and added knit loops at the back.

As much as I love fabric bags, sometimes I need something that looks more plain, a bag that can go with anything. This envelope clutch purse is made from vinyl but you can make this bag in a regular quilting cotton, or something like a micro-suede would be very cool too.

Given that spring is well and truly on the way now, I thought it would be good to make a tropical-themed skirt for those warm summer evenings out. Clear vinyl bags or pouches are very handy for sorting and storing small sewing supplies. You can quickly see what is in all of the bags without having to open them. But sometimes you need bigger bags and ones with a totally closed top. So give it a try with a zipper and a small gusset at the bottom
